Inclusions

  • Professional Guidance: Tours are led by a licensed, English-speaking tour guide who is knowledgeable and passionate about Kathmandu’s culture and heritage.

Exclusions

  • Entrance Fees: Any charges for access to specific sites or attractions visited during the tour are not included. These must be paid by participants directly at the site.
  • Meals: Lunch and other meals during the tour are not provided and are the responsibility of the participant.
  • Gratuities: While not mandatory, tips for the tour guide are greatly appreciated as a gesture of gratitude.
  • Travel Insurance: Participants are responsible for securing their own travel insurance to cover potential risks or unforeseen circumstances.

Guidelines for Walking Tours

Before the Tour

  • Confirm your booking and bring necessary documents (e.g., confirmation email, voucher).
  • Wear comfortable footwear, as these tours involve significant walking.
  • Dress modestly, especially when visiting religious or cultural sites.
  • Pack essentials like water, sunscreen, a hat, light jacket and any personal items you may need.
  • Carry an umbrella or raincoat during the rainy season.
  • Arrive at the meeting point on time or a few minutes early.
  • Tours are subject to availability and weather conditions. In case of cancellation or rescheduling, you will be informed promptly.
  • Amazing Kathmandu reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • Stay with the group and avoid wandering off.
  • Show respect for local culture and traditions.
    • Remove shoes at religious sites and dress appropriately.
    • Avoid loud conversations and ask permission before photographing people.
  • Observe decorum at sacred or significant places (e.g., avoid inappropriate gestures, maintain modest dress).
  • Keep the environment clean by not littering and respecting artifacts and monuments.
  • Walk at a steady pace and inform the guide if you need a break or feel unwell.

Safety Tips

  • Inform the guide about any medical conditions or mobility issues.
  • Stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun.
  • Be mindful of traffic, especially when crossing roads.
  • Keep the contact information of the guide and tour operator handy for emergencies

After the Tour
